thanks much friend.A outstanding send indeed. For now I read half but I surely will go back and read the rest,I should print it.
Funny how many leftists like to call Bush a Hitler or Nazi.Seems to me leftist ideals are more in tune with Nazism when it comes to government controls and gun control.
Correct me if Im wrong but wasnt Hitler once quoted as also saying
"We are relieving the bonds of freedom from mankind which only certain men can handle anyway"
I think I read that in a American rifleman issue, not sure.
I think it went something to that effect. And here is Bush saying that everybody should enjoy freedom.Night and day if you ask me.

That's because the Nazis were really socialists. The government was a facist dictatorship, but the core beliefs were socialistic.

Nazism (abbreviated from the German: Nationalsozialismus, "National Socialism")

This ideology was held by the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, commonly called NSDAP or the Nazi Party)

To anyone with their eyes truly open, it would appear that the American left has far more in common with pre-WWII Germany than do the Republican party. It shows us all that they have no clue what accually happened at that time in history. My only hope is that we will not allow it to happen again.

Rightwinggunnut, you hit the nail on the head!! All you need to do is compare Nazi laws with those being proposed now. Let's compare Nazi law with the "Assault Weapon Ban" (HB 948 http://mlis.state.md.us/2005rs/bills/hb/hb0948f.pdf) proposed recently in the Maryland General Assembly (The Maryland Politburo, or should I say Reichstag):

Nazi Weapons Act of 1938 (Translated to English):
"All citizens who wished to purchase firearms had to register with the Nazi officials and have a background check."

Maryland HB 948:
"(3) A PERSON WHO LAWFULLY POSSESSED AN ASSAULT LONG GUN OR COPYCAT WEAPON BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2005, AND WHO REGISTERS THE ASSAULT LONG GUN OR COPYCAT WEAPON WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE POLICE BEFORE DECEMBER 1, 2005, MAY CONTINUE TO POSSESS THE ASSAULT LONG GUN OR COPYCAT WEAPON."

------------------------------------------------------------------

Regulations Against Jews' Possession of Weapons 11 November 1938:
"2 Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew's possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation."

Maryland HB 948:
9 A law enforcement unit may seize as contraband and dispose of according to
10 regulation an assault [pistol] WEAPON transported, sold, transferred, purchased,
11 received, or possessed in violation of this subtitle."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I think this stuff speaks for itself.

We need to vote these despots out of power!! ....and maybe Maryland will one day be truly "The Free State" (YEAH, igsfly: )

Thanks God that Kerry lost! I was pretty happy to see Tom D'as*hole bounced too !! We're safe for the time being on the national level. We may even see passage of the Protection in Lawful Commerce Act that Daschle, Hitlery, Kerry, Edwards, and their trial lawyer buddies sabotaged last year. We're safe on the federal level, but we need to remain vigilant.

The biggest danger remains at the state level of certain states such as New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, and others. It is up to people like Rightwinggunnut and myself to keep up the good fight and support local groups such as Tripwire here in Maryland.

As for the accurate observation by 308/223shooter, I will add a couple of whimsical pictures to support that observation in a tongue in cheek fashion:

One of the biggest points this makes is the danger of losing our freedoms not in one big push, but little by little. How many times have we heard the term "sensibler gun control" or "For the public safety". Too many times, we have allowed a small part of our freedom to be lost in the names of regulation only to have the banners come back and claim we need more. Keep a steady eye, the cost of Freedom is enternal vigulance.

What you really want to do is compare the Nazi gun control laws to the Gun Control Act of 1968. It is suspected that the a senator from a New England state had the Nazi laws translated and then adapted them to what could be passed at the time in the USA. In the wake of the assassinations JFK less than five years before, RFK in June 1968 and MLK in April 1968 such a law could be passed where it would have been impossible the previous year.

Quote:
Exhibit No. 62 (see reproduction) is fascinating. This letter -- dated July 12, 1968 -- is to Subcommittee Chairman Dodd from Lewis C. Coffin, Law Librarian at the Library of Congress. Coffin wrote:

" ... we are enclosing herewith a translation of the Law on Weapons of March 18, 1938, prepared by Dr. William Solyom-Fekete of [the European Law Division -- ed.] as well as the Xerox of the original German text which you supplied" (Subcommittee Hearings, p. 489, emphasis added).

This letter makes it public knowledge that at the end of June 1968 -- 4 months before GCA '68 was enacted -- Senator Thomas J. Dodd, now deceased, personally owned a copy of the original German text of the Nazi Weapons Law.
History repeats itself because the current generation doesn't notice the historical parallels of current events.

And...let us not forget the famous Feinstein, quote:

"If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate, Mr. and Mrs. America...turn them all in"!!!
