Krupp 4116 Stainless Quality ???
Cold Steel makes knives in Krupp 4116 stainless.
I have a Cold Steel Peace Keeper I, 7" double edged blade. According to Cold Steel, they're "zero quenched" and "specially tempered."
I have some other Cold Steel knives, and like them. Good bang for not a lot of bucks.
I remember reading in another forum something to the effect, "Did we ever decide what we think about Krupp 4116 ???"
So . . . Did we?

One of the current knife mags has a review on the new Cold Steel OSS, with 4116 Krupp steel. It's comparable to a GOOD 425M steel in edge-holding and durability. They liked the knife.
I've found the newest 4116 knives to be lighter, noticeably, than the older Cold Steel Carbon V knives. I have a couple, and wish that Lynn had paid more attention to the heft and fitting of the new knives.
