Lee REAL bullets

Has any of you tried the Lee REAL bullets? I just got a REAL bullet mould in 54 cal 300 grain. Am still looking for where I put my bars of pure lead (???) Would really like to hear if any of you have tried them in a TC Hawken 54.

These are conical bullets the R-E-A-L stands for Rifling engaged at loading. Sorry but it's just a trade name for their bullet molds.
Was wondering if any of you had tried them and if so what the results were.

They shoot fine in my T.C. Just make sure that when casting them you get the mould filled out completely..The "bands" that engrave on loading need to be nice and clean and sharp fo best perfomance....I had to reject a bunch of them untill I got the hang of it....I have used both weights IIRC...250 and 325...depends on your twist and/or rifles preferance...HTH........PS- as always PURE LEAD only...

Snydley,
Thanks for the info. I had to throw a bunch back into the lead pot too. I went with the shortest of the 54 cal Lee R-E-A-L bullets do to the TC Hawken having a 1-48 twist. The 300 grain bullet seems to shoot pretty well. I have been getting groups around
1 1/4 inches at 50 yards with iron sights. I like the way the TC bore butter allows me to keep on shooting with out cleaning or wiping the bore between shots. For the time being I think it will be my plinking bullet, but then again who knows. It does shoot good enough to kill deer.
