LAPD to reopen investigation into fugitive ex-cop's firing | Fox News

They don't elaborate, but for a man "going to war" on the LAPD and society in general, you'd think he would try to hang onto supplies like that.

They just might find him when the snow melts out there.

Agreed. How in hell did he pass a psych test? Not that they're infallible, but sheesh! This guy had to have been displaying symptoms.

'Course, maybe that was why he was fired to begin with.

Another little piece of the story...

He has apparently exhibited less-than-grounded behavior in the past...

I don't know why they would need to make a TV movie out of it after NBC is done editing the news coverage.

Something is starting to sound a little funny here.
LA is flat broke and teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, and they're offering One Million dollars reward for this guy?

I remember some gang leader who went on a killing spree in LA and was killing people right and left a few years ago and they offered no reward. I recall he killed more people then this guy.
What about the various serial killers in LA who had low to no rewards.

As for burning his guns in the truck, if he couldn't carry them all on foot, he'd probably want to destroy them.

Just because people are going to be looking close at everything related to this, the LAPD would do another look at his case so they can shortstop any claims he was railroaded.

As far as the reward, I am guessing the gang leader was not killing family members of police officers.

On the burning of guns, they haven't said what guns, so I tend to agree with your assessent.

The big question is whether he has found or had an alternate vehicle or if he is on foot.

So the guy is an idoit. He steals a car and gets an APB put on it and is now holed up in a cabin. Now someone who was smart would of had another vehicle waiting in the mountains. Then he would have ammo dumps, petro etc scattered around the area or even out of state.I am talking maybe in storage facilities/rentals and maybe checked for cameras and etc.It is really starting to look like very little planning occurred with this yokel and this might of come off the fly from/because of Sandy Hook. This fella really bought into his own retoric

Come on, this guy is NOT John Rambo. You really didn't think he was Rambo, did you? James Bond? Jason Bourne?

There's been a tremendous amount of media over-hype on this guy.

He was a Navy combat vet, a trained sniper, a highly trained policeman, a well-prepared evader, he was running some master plan to wage guerrilla warfare all over California.
He was extremely well equipped.

He was not a combat vet and never saw any kind of combat. He has one short deployment to Bahrain.

He was no sniper. He has a Navy Marksman badge, the lowest qualification.

He had normal police training.

He seems to have not been well equipped at all, other than having a few guns.
He had no real gear for the mountains of this time of year.

He appears to not to have had any real plan other than to shoot a few unprepared people and run.

So, instead of Johnny Rambo laying waste to the country side, we actually have a looney-toon mental case inflated into a Rambo by a Press anxious to have a nice story.
It would have been SO much better if he'd just had the decency to be a Tea party member and listen to Rush Limbaugh.

I'm not at all surprized at all about the leftist press's LIES about this armed lunatic.
LYING is what the reporters DO for their living.

He's toast. After shooting and killing another deputy today they surrounded the cabin where he fled.

No not rambo TG but after listening to some of the talking heads(Mark F) in the first days thought he might of thought on this for a year or two not the last 90 days.Which brings it back to what were the real motivations here?was it SH?was it the critics of Obama? It does not seem his (supposed)injustice only at the hands of the LAPD but that maybe SH lit the fuse.

NBC News confirms. Sadly a Sheriff's Deputy was killed and another Deputy wounded in the final hours of the situation. Apparently Dorner was discovered when he carjacked a man's pickup truck and a Game Warden responded.

Charred body found in cabin identified as ex-LAPD fugitive, say sources in LA mayor's office - U.S. News
