Japanese Coast Guard intercepts a Drug Smuggling boat.
The apparent smugglers (The Video says they were North Korean) decide they really don't want to be nice about it.

When the Japanese say stop they mean STOP! I have to give the smugglers credit for lacking any common sense for firing with small arms against apparently three ships with deck mounted weapons. I do wish the video had been subtitled though.

The fifty indeed plays some beautiful music, but I think the Japanese were using the turret mounted gun you can see briefly in some of the video angles. It appears to be the always-popular Bofors:
