Looks like the training was a little spotty

A friend forwarded this to me. Looks like the training about cover and which way the bullets are supposed to point didn't sink in. She got the part about finger off the trigger, though!

Re: Looks like the training was a little spotty

I just tried an experiment with my Bushmaster M4orgery; I tried to insert the magazine backwards. I could only get it in the magwell far enough to just "stick" there. The seam in the magazine's back as well as the shape of the magwell prevents it from inserting.
This photo looks like she managed to get the mag inserted into her gun just about as far (unless it's a 40 round magazine); she didn't notice this fact when she loaded?
Hmmmm.

Hot copchick with an AR -- Good

Use of cover -- Fair. She could be kneeling, but then the above comment would go from good to great.

Mag in backwards -- Priceless

Several years old… no longer TGZ-worthy.

Re: Looks like the training was a little spotty

Since when has gun safety not been TGZ-worthy?

Has nothing to do with "gun safety."

Dean
I would think a person that is probably a reasonable, and intelligent person in other circumstances doing something really stupid would be a worthy reminder that we are all capable of screwing up. Just like your pic of the LEO with the AR with the mag in upside down while mounted in his/her patrol car, was worthy of posting.

Just my 2 cents.

This is the first time I have seen this pic. Interesting!

Totally ignorant here, but I'm assuming that as ready as she looks, as attentive, focused, alert and willing, if she needed to fire, it wouldn't have fired properly, right? And that could have resulted in disaster for herself and fellow officers. Kind of scary.
