Stag Arms Left Hand Eject 16" upper (update)

It's been several years and several hundred rounds and I haven't noticed any functional problems.
Some of the coating came off hear the charging handle but there's no exposed metal and corrosion
hasn't been an issue. It's almost like it got sprayed twice, or something.

Here's my current kit:

Stag Arms 3HL upper on a S&W M&P15 lower.

Irons: ARMS flip-up rear, Midwest Industries flip-up front (for gas block - there's a slight difference
in the height between the gas block and rail mount)

Optic is a BSA "EL-CHEAPO" red dot (until I can afford the Trijicon I want) It's pretty good though,
I can put rounds on the dot repeatedly at 75m. (that's what it's sighted for) and it hasn't had
problems holding its zero after all the rounds I've fired.

All in all I'm quite pleased with this Stag Arms product. My next planned purchase from them is the
.22 adapter. If anyone has any experience with the Stag left hand .22 adapter, I'd love to read
about it.

I didn't know they made one. That's good news.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but I had a Ceiner unit almost all the way into my southpaw gun until the light went on...

Re: Stag Arms Left Hand Eject 16" upper (update)

I think they make their entire line of uppers (5.56mm & 6.8mm) in both left and right hand eject now. They even have left handed SBR uppers for those so inclined.

I'll tell you though, after *many* years of having a right handed rifle, the lefty took a bit of getting used to.
Some pros and cons I've noticed:

PRO
casings and smoke go away from your face.

hot brass bouncing off your thumb and potentially causing a jam isn't a problem if you use the mag well as a grip (Yea "Never Quit Grip"! http://www.neverquitgrip.com "Purists" can hold the comments, it works really well for me. I don't care what "the book" says)

CON
rolling the weapon to check if the chamber is clear (as opposed to just looking down from the sights a bit)

Stag is currently the ONLY company making a left hand eject upper (as far as I know), meaning that if you need an extra bolt or bolt carrier and they're out of stock, you're out of luck.
