| Sandia Labs develops a guided bullet
When I was really young I remember catching a movie on TV called "Runaway" with Tom Selleck. The bad guy in the movie, played by Gene Simmons, had a gun that shot projectiles about a certain size that homed on targets. Michael Crichton wrote the movie. I didn't really think it could happen one day, but I guess Michael Crichton was ahead of the curve once again. Super bullet could strike target a mile away - CBS News |

No rifiling...no tell-tale ballistic evidence left on the projectile...the film made it look like the entire cartridge left the barrel and then the shed itself from the projectile, so no brass left behind... Hey, Stephen Hunter! Need a new plot point for your next novel? |
