Re: Magma Case Master Jr. Case Sizer

I believe that this is what my former teaching partner used to use. It not only resizes the web area of the case, which is normally missed by conventional dies, it also takes all the dings (typically caused by extractors) out of the head of the case, behind the extractor groove.

The only question I would have would be about work hardening of the brass, which may or may not differ from that in the thinner portions of the case with conventional resizing. I will defer to others in that regard.

Do you have to use a lube, or are the dies carbide?

While the working surfaces are carbide, as I recall, it's a rolling process so no lube is required. This is how the web area is resized and the dings are taken out of the head of the case.

I'm curious... are you planning on commercial loading? .40 S&W?

I elected to get a CasePro100 and I'm happy with it. I roll size 9mm, .40 Cal and 45 ACP.

None of those are particularly difficult to size in conventional dies and all can be loaded on standard progressive tools

Ordered and received case sizer. Does a nice job. One extra step that you may not need, but I want my reloads to be 100 percent, so I do no mind the extra step. A quality tool, easy to use.
