For my Sierra #1400 53gr Flat based MATCH KING I use 25.9 grains of Vihta N135 for a muzzle velocity of 2890 with an Extreme spread of 9 and a standard deviation of 11 in a ten shot group over my Oehler 35p. This load when lit by a Remington 7 1/2 in a LC case consistently produces 1 inch groups from irons at 100yds and is perfect for reduced course 200yd events. I tried the 52gr BT SMK but the results varied on the paper. HTH
Of course quite a bit depends on your barrel length and twist. I don't load anything less than 60 grains and have had good performance with Varget, RL-15, and N140 in my ARs. I have some friends who regularily load for the 52 and 53 grain stuff and have good success with Benchmark and H335 powders.
For my Mini-14(s) I use 55gr Nosler boat tails, 25 gr of BLC-2, CCI small rifle primers. HTH, Mike
