Identify bad Korean 30-06???

In the past several months there were some disparaging remarks made about the Korean 30-06 recently imported. Supposedly blew up in someones Garand........................there were pictures on site of the gun and ammo. I have just found a 50 cal can 3/4 full of 'K A 7 3' in Garand clips. It was in a bulk ammo purchase of several different calibers. Is this the dreaded Korean???????? or can anyone identify this stuff positively??????

The problem has to do with lots of ammo that were not properly stored. Some of the lots' cases corroded and weakened to the point they could not contain the pressure. Some of them are perfectly fine. A couple of the guys here maintain a list of bad lots.

Yes KA is Korean. It is also corrosive.

Korean

Suspicions confirmed. Fortunately this stuff looks like it was made yesterday. And tomorrow some of it will be empty. I dont mind corrosive, I have many machine guns and everything I find for them is corrosive except 308. Stinky bore cleaner has become like cologne to my wife................

OK, Sung Hi Lee was born in 1970, right? OK, is the factory KA located in Seoul, South Korea. Noting that Asia's tendency to use child labor, she could have made my KA 73 ammo. Being 3 years old, her hands are small enough to clear the casings from the very hevey, and sharp edge presses and exposed drive belts.

Wow my ammo could have been made by a Model! This rules! Never mind the "Carp" ammo had two duds out of the first eight rounds in my Garand and was corrosive as hell while adverised as not!

Serously, I am interested in seeing those pics of the poor Garand and reading the Guns and Ammo Actrical on the South Korean ammo. Can't find it on thier sight.

Rifle

Unless the owner or someone who knows of the pictures see these posts, I have no way to repeat it. It was in this site before it moved here several months ago. It all came up when I told about having a rifle detonate twice before the cartridge was fully seated in the chamber by 1/2" or so. Not a Garand however. Both my incidents were with 8mm reloads and magnum primers Never solved my problem.............Too scary to try for three times.........
